Brown Fused Alumina

MAXCAL - L (Low Titania BFA)
MAXCAL is a special brown fused aluminum oxide developed for high performance abrasive products. MAXCAL is low titania content product, heat treated in a rotary kiln at high temperatures and magnetic treated. These procedures guarantee low iron content and excellent grit stability.
ALOMAX - L (Semi-Friable BFA)
ALOMAX is a semi friable brown fused aluminum oxide. ALOMAX presents good toughness and excellent abrasion properties and is recommended for high performance coated abrasives.
SFAR - L (Semi-Friable BFA)
SFAR is a semi-friable brown fused aluminum oxide. In order to improve its quality this material is calcined and present low dust content. It is recommended for high performance coated abrasives.
SFARBF - L (Semi-Friable BFA)
SFARBF is a semi-friable brown fused aluminum oxide. SFARBF receives heat treatment giving better grain cutting performance to increased toughness and constant replacement of edges of the grains can be used in extreme applications. This material has excellent properties for applications in sensitive steels.
TB - L (Friable BFA)
TB is a friable brown fused aluminum oxide. TB presents an excellent cost/benefit relation, being recommended for wood and drywall coated abrasives.
Pink Fused Alumina
RU - L
RU - L is a pink aluminum oxide obtained by fusion of calcined alumina and chrome ore in electric arc furnaces. Its high purity and self-edged reposition characteristic makes RU a product for special applications where contamination is an issue to be considered.
